63 Deaf Dancers Perform “Thousand Hand Guan Yin”

My friend Judy (check out her beautiful art here: http://heirloomstobebyjudy.com/Heirlooms_to_Be_by_Judy/Heirlooms_to_Be_by_Judy.html  ) sent this via email. This stunning performance is prefaced with this interesting notation:  “Thousand Hand Guan Yin was a dance created by Chinese choreographer Zhang Jigang. This dance was performed by 63 deaf dancers of China Disabled People’s Performing Art Troupe. Because they could not hear the music, there were 6 directors in white cloths helping them synchronizing with the music.
